LAFAYETTE SAVINGS BANK HEADS UP “WE CARE” PROGRAM FOR OUR TROOPS

June 15, 2007 – The men and women in the Armed Forces sacrifice daily to provide the freedoms we cherish. In support of the service men and women who are in the Middle East, Randolph F. Williams, President/CEO, is pleased to announce that Lafayette Savings Bank, and its five locations, will serve as a collection point for travel-size items from June 18 to July 7 for mailing.

There will be a drop off box at each Lafayette Savings Bank branch, and customers as well as the community is invited to donate travel-size items, i.e., razors, shampoo, combs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, playing cards, snack bars, C & D size batteries, pens/pencils, hand sanitizer, first aid supplies, etc.) to be sent to our troops. Each branch can provide a list of suggested travel-size items or visit our website at www.lsbank.com/com_sponsors.htm . Bank customers and the community are welcome to provide names and addresses for deliveries to soldiers.

Lafayette Savings Bank is headquartered in downtown Lafayette at 101 Main St., next to James F. Riehle Plaza. It also operates branches on Lafayette’s north side at 1501 Sagamore Pkwy. North; east side at 3510 State Road 38 East; on the south side of Lafayette at 833 Twyckenham Blvd.; and in West Lafayette at 1020A Sagamore Park Centre.
