Mortgage Loan Originator - Commission (click here to apply)
Lafayette Savings Bank seeks a full-time Loan Originator who will be responsible for promoting and selling the Bank’s mortgage
products and ancillary products to customers. Also responsible for developing and maintaining Realtor and other quality,
continuous sources of business relationships, while simultaneously seeking out prospective borrowers and/or responding to
borrower inquiries.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage multiple tasks
- 1+ years mortgage lending experience (emphasis in origination) or 1+ years retail sales experience.
- Ability to prepare loan applications & analyze credit information
- Proven ability to cultivate new business
- General knowledge of PC’s and software programs
- High degree of confidentiality and professionalism
Responsibilities
- Market mortgage products to Realtors, builders, and developers
- Respond to inquires & answer questions about mortgage products/service; educate potential borrowers in the home buying
and financing process
- Consult with individual consumers about goals, products, credit issues, and closing costs
- Take information from applicant & complete loan application; collect necessary information from applicant (tax returns,
W-2’s, pay stubs, statements, etc.); order appraisal and pull credit information
- Provide disclosures as required by law
- Maintain regular contact with applicants, Realtors, builders, etc. and advise them of status of application
- Exhibit knowledge of all mortgage loan products/programs and the respective underwriting guidelines, rules and regulations

Lafayette Savings Bank seeks a full-time Learning & Development Manager whose primary respsponsibility is to assess needs for training and to develop and deliver training programs (individual, training, small groups, and classroom settings) that support bank objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience in managing training and/or education departments and in conducting training classes
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills and strong presentation skills
- Ability to be self motivated and to perform with limited direction
- Ability to build relationships with and influence employees at all levels
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new hire training programs with emphasis on bank culture, service expectations, security, and usage of common software applications. Provide for on-going training initiatives in these areas as needed/ required.
- Develop and implement sales & service skills training and product training programs for entire staff, with particular emphasis on those employees who have direct customer contact.
- Identify needs and coordinate computer software training initiatives and coordinate delivery of technology transitions due to enhancements, etc.
- Develop and implement leadership, supervisory, and human resources training programs for appropriate staff.
- Oversee communication, delivery, and tracking of training initiatives.

Lafayette Savings Bank seeks a full-time Loan Teller who will be responsible for transferring mortgage and
installment loans to servicing, renewals and payoffs.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated PC literacy

- Ability to learn/handle complex situations
- Teller/accounting knowledge is a plus
Responsibilities
- Transferring loans to servicing - includes processing, balancing and transferring loans from
EasyLender to FiServ Servicing, entering FASB and CIS information, running additional
transactions and auditing loans for quality control
- Maintaining, reviewing, updating and researching accounts; processing renewals,
modifications and/or extensions; and researching/processing payment corrections
- Prepare, process and complete payoffs
- Process insurance payments, draws for line of credits and construction loans; film and file
installment loans; answer customer inquiries; review and mail monthly billing statements;
order coupon books; and review VRL exception report
Teller, part-time (click here to apply)
Lafayette Savings Bank seeks a part-time teller to ensure the efficient handling of customer needs. Some responsibilities include providing excellent service, processing both business and individual banking transactions, managing a cash fund and cross-selling bank services. Previous cash handling and retail experience is required.
Hours are flexible Monday-Friday, approximately 20-29 hours/week, with 3 out of 4 Saturdays/month.
