Chief Lending Officer
This position is responsible for leading, managing and directing the day-to-day operations of the lending and credit administration functions of the bank.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Coach, mentor and develop commercial, consumer and residential lenders as well as credit and special assets departments
  • Plan, develop and recommend policies and procedures for the safe and sound credit operations and administration of the bank
  • Provide guidance on loan pricing – work with CFO to ensure attainment of profit objectives
  • Proactively manage the bank’s loan portfolio for quality and profitability. Monitor trends in overall asset quality, delinquencies, collections, concentrations, etc
  • Identify problem loan relationships; prepare reports for management and directors and direct workout efforts
  • Establish loan loss reserves and ensure bank receives satisfactory or higher ratings for all credit-related examinations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable bank regulations through periodic training of staff and compliance reviews
  • Serve as chairman of the asset review committee
  • Develop performance standards and compensation strategies for loan officers and key staff


  • 15 or more years financial services experience; with 10 or more years in credit/lending industry
  • At least 5 years direct experience working with troubled assets
  • 7-10 year’s progressively responsible supervisory, management, lending and credit experience
  • Superior planning and administration skills required
  • Ability to review and interpret banking laws and regulations
  • Ability to author policies, procedures, and prepare credit/loan reports for the board of directors, asset review committee and for regulatory agencies as required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, customers, regulators and staff verbally and in writing
  • Superior analytical, organizational, customer service and sales skills
  • Some legal training in contracts, liens and collections desirable
  • Willingness to be actively involved in the community
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science in finance, business or related field, post graduate studies a plus

Mortgage Loan Originator
LSB is seeking inside and outside MLO’s who will be responsible for originating investment quality loans (Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA) by selling the Bank’s loan products and services to its client base of deposit and loan customers, Realtors, homebuyers, homeowners, builders, and others. Active participation in related business development initiatives is also expected in this position. We’re seeking to fill at least one inside and one outside MLO positions.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Establish and maintain client referral relations with a variety of referral partners including Realtors, builders, developers, insurance agents, attorneys, and others
  • Monitor overall customer interaction and interface with all parties involved in each individual loan from application to closing, including but not limited to counseling and pre-qualifying potential home buyers, taking complete and accurate applications, obtaining all necessary support documents along with appropriate fee and lock-in information, monitoring the loan status and assisting in the collection of additional documents prior to and subsequent to closing
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with mortgagors
  • Keep informed of trends and developments in the local real estate market, including the competitive environment, as well as the rules and regulations of all agencies, i.e. FHLMC, FNMA, FHA, VA, USDA, and compliance and security requirements of Bank
  • Maintain a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures


  • Previous mortgage loan origination experience is preferred
  • Proven communication skills at a level consistent with the requirements of the position and to generate independent leads for new business
  • Knowledge of standard loan products and underwriting guidelines
  • Ability to work flexible hours with local travel and occasional travel for training purposes

Loan Processing / Closing Assistant
This position is responsible for assisting with tasks within the Mortgage Department as it pertains to Processing, Closing and Post Closing functions. As needed, this person will order supporting documentation (Appraisals, Flood Certifications, Title Insurance, Home Owners Insurance, and VVOE’s), will assist with clerical tasks such as copying, scanning, imaging and emailing and assist Loan Closer with review of closed loan packages, rolling and stacking loan files.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Set-up loan files, separating documents into necessary tabs and reconciling funds collected at time of application.
  • As directed, order appraisals, verification forms, tax transcripts and flood certifications and title commitments from outside sources. Follow-up on items as necessary.
  • Assist processing with scanning and uploading of files into Investor platforms for underwriting.
  • Assist closer with pre-closing items (scheduling closings, HOI, payoffs and other items necessary for the transaction).
  • Scan and submit closing packages to title companies as needed.
  • Assist closer with post-closing file review. Stacking of documents, preparation of Rolling Sheets and disbursement into appropriate GL’s. Assist with scanning of files and uploading into Investor sites for loan delivery.


  • Ability to effectively listen and respond to customer and other support staff needs
  • Ability to exhibit professional written and verbal communication at all times
  • Ability to organize work load and specific assignment details
  • Ability to focus on speed and set priorities without compromising accuracy
  • One year of administrative and customer service experience
  • Knowledge of mortgage loan documents from previous work experience

Customer Service Associate (This posting represents 3 full time positions.)

This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient handling of customer needs.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Process both business and individual banking transactions
  • Manage cash funds
  • Cross sell bank services


  • Previous cash handling and retail experience
  • Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Basic knowledge of keyboard and PC skills
Hours are Monday - Friday full-time with a minimum of 2 Saturdays in a four week time frame.
